Dr. med. Frank Steidle

Specialist in diagnostic radiology

Dr Steidle was born in Düren and also went to school there. After completing his military service in Geilenkirchen, he began studying physics in Aachen.

He studied human medicine in Cologne until 1995 and then moved to the Elisabeth Hospital in Essen for the AIP in internal medicine.

After a short period in radiotherapy at the clinics of the Märkischer Kreis Lüdenscheid, he moved to the clinics of the city of Cologne, Holweide, for further training in diagnostic radiology in 1998.

In 2000, he moved to the Institute for Radiological Diagnostics at Lukaskrankenhaus Neuss. Recognised as a specialist in diagnostic radiology in 2002 and appointed senior physician in 2003.

Since 2006 he has been working in a group practice in Heinsberg.

He specialises in cross-sectional imaging diagnostics, prostate MRI and CT-guided pain therapy.
He has the highest quality level Q2 for prostate MRI imaging and diagnosis with health insurance authorisation and has been a certified diagnostician for lung cancer screening according to ESTI since 2024

Dr. med. Inga Bosse

Specialist in diagnostic radiology

Dr. Bosse was born and grew up in Düren.

After studying human medicine at RWTH Aachen University and completing her doctorate at the Institute of Neuroradiology at RWTH Aachen University in 2013, she continued her medical training in Stolberg, Düren and Aachen.

In 2019, she practised as a radiology specialist in Aachen. Since 2020, she has been based in Heinsberg as a specialist in radiology.

In 2023 she took over the practice of Dr. (B) Honinx in Heinsberg.
Her main areas of expertise as a specialist are cross-sectional imaging diagnostics, CT-guided pain therapy and breast diagnostics.

Felix Engel

Specialist in diagnostic radiology

Mr. Engel has been working as a specialist in radiology at Radiologie Heinsberg since 2023 and has succeeded Dr. Werner Ihm as of October 1, 2025.         

He was born in Hilden and grew up near Brussels in Belgium. After graduating from the European School Brussels 1, he studied human medicine at the Universite Catolique de Louvain in Brussels and at the RWTH Aachen. After completing his studies, he continued his medical training in hospitals in Düren and was recognised as a specialist in radiology in 2014. Most recently, he worked as a senior consultant in radiology at St. Marien Hospital in Düren and part-time in the radiology practice at the MVZ of St. Marien Hospital in Düren. 

He specialises in magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography as well as CT-guided pain therapies.

Member of the German and European Radiological Society.

Languages: German, English, French, Dutch.

Kirsten Lake

Specialist in diagnostic radiology

Ms. Lake grew up in Wegberg, where she also attended school. After graduating from high school, she first completed training as a radiologic technologist (MTRA) at RWTH Aachen University. She then went on to study human medicine in Aachen, graduating in 2005.

She began her postgraduate medical training with 18 months in internal medicine, followed by specialist training in radiology at CTW in Düren. After obtaining her board certification in 2012, she initially worked as a senior physician and later as a leading senior physician in Düren-Lendersdorf.

Further professional positions took her to Düsseldorf (Praxis am Schloss Benrath, St. Martinus Hospital), Leverkusen (Remigius Hospital), and Stuttgart (Praxis am Feuersee).

Ms. Lake has been strengthening the team at Radiologie Heinsberg as an employee since 2026.

Her clinical focus is on cross-sectional imaging, including CT-guided interventional diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
She is a member of the German Roentgen Society and the Association of South German Radiologists and Nuclear Medicine Physicians.

Dr. med. Maike VerHaelen

Radiologist in training

Born and raised in Heinsberg, Dr. Verhaelen graduated from the Kreisgymnasium Heinsberg in 2012. 

This was followed by medical studies at the Friedrich-Alexander University in Erlangen-Nuremberg and a doctorate at the Radiation Clinic of the University Hospital Erlangen, which she completed in 2021. 

She began her medical training in radiology at hospitals in Karlsruhe and Viersen.

After a year of parental leave, she has been strengthening the Heinsberg Radiology team since 2025 as a doctor in training to become a specialist in radiology. 

She is married and has one child.
